What the client needed
A homeowner on Powell Street, Ocean Grove, wanted to boost their solar system’s efficiency with a smart, compact battery solution. The key priorities were backup power during outages, greater control over energy usage, and low-maintenance performance. Winki Energy was tasked with integrating a reliable storage solution that complemented the existing solar setup and offered smart functionality for daily energy management.
Our objectives
The primary goals of this project were to:
• Deliver a high-performance battery system compatible with the client’s current solar array.
• Ensure the system offered real-time monitoring and user-friendly control.
• Maintain a compact, clean aesthetic with easy maintenance.
• Increase energy independence and protect against power outages.
The system we designed & installed
Winki Energy installed a complete hybrid battery system using:
• 1 × Sigenergy SigenStor BAT 8.0 (8.06kWh modular battery)
• 1 × Sigenergy Sigen Hybrid 5.0 SP Inverter (4.999kW output)
This system enables seamless transitions between solar generation, battery storage, and grid power. The installation also includes smart monitoring via mobile app, giving the homeowner full insight into energy storage, usage, and savings in real time.
