What the client needed
A homeowner on Glider Street, Mount Duneed, wanted a complete renewable energy solution that combined solar power generation with an efficient hot water system. The system had to offer high performance, smart monitoring and long-term savings—all while reducing grid dependence and emissions. Winki Energy was chosen to design and deliver a comprehensive, future-focused setup.
Our objectives
The key goals for this project were to deliver an efficient, future-ready solar energy solution tailored to the home’s needs. This included installing a high-performance 9kW solar system using premium Australian-made panels, ensuring long-term reliability and energy yield. A smart Enphase microinverter system was integrated to enable panel-level monitoring and optimisation, maximising overall efficiency. To further improve energy savings, the traditional hot water system was replaced with a 270L heat pump, offering a more sustainable and cost-effective water heating solution. Finally, the entire system was designed for a seamless, compact installation that aligned with the home’s existing layout and energy consumption patterns.
The system we designed & installed
Winki Energy delivered a reliable, fully integrated system designed for long-term performance and efficiency. The setup features an 8.92kW array of Tindo Walara 425W panels, proudly Australian-made for exceptional durability and high energy output. Enphase microinverters were paired with each panel to enable individual performance monitoring and greater shading tolerance, optimising overall system productivity. Complementing the solar system is a 270L iStore Heat Pump, providing an energy-efficient hot water solution that primarily runs on solar power. Together, these components form a complete home energy solution—significantly reducing both electricity bills and water heating costs.
The final outcome
The completed system delivers 8.92kW of solar generation, equipped with panel-level insights and optimised energy performance for maximum efficiency. A smart, grid-responsive 270L heat pump further enhances energy savings by reducing electricity use for hot water. This integrated setup not only lowers ongoing energy bills and carbon footprint but also fits seamlessly within the home’s design, offering a clean and tailored installation. With real-time solar tracking and sustainable hot water now powered by the sun, the homeowner benefits from greater control, improved efficiency and long-term environmental impact reduction.
