Winki Energy delivered a tailored solar and storage solution for a homeowner on Tobin Avenue, Northcote. The system was designed to combine efficient solar generation with advanced battery storage, giving the property greater energy independence and long-term sustainability.
What the client needed
The homeowner wanted a compact yet powerful solar system that would reduce their dependence on grid power while providing reliable backup during outages. They were also seeking a future-ready storage solution to make the most of their solar generation, with the flexibility to power their home day and night. Long-term savings and sustainability were key priorities in their decision to invest in solar and battery storage.
Our objectives
The key goals for this project were to reduce the homeowner’s reliance on the grid by maximising solar self-consumption and to ensure reliable backup energy security during outages. Installing the Tesla Powerwall 3 provided flexible energy storage, enabling the household to use solar power both day and night. Long-term cost savings and sustainability were also central objectives, achieved through the efficient combination of Trina Solar panels, Sungrow inverter technology, and Tesla’s advanced battery storage.
The system we designed & installed
This system features high-performance Trina Solar Vertex S+ panels, delivering excellent output even in variable conditions. The Tesla Powerwall 3 provides 13.5kWh of reliable storage capacity, supporting energy independence and backup resilience. Paired with the Sungrow SG8.0RS inverter, the system enables efficient energy conversion and smooth operation in compliance with the latest standards. Overall, the installation was designed to be compact, efficient, and future-ready.
The final outcome
The homeowner now benefits from a clean, efficient, and resilient energy solution that significantly reduces electricity costs while ensuring peace of mind with reliable backup power.
